Invites final year engineering students to join the Indian Navy as Short Service Commissioned Officers in Technical / Executive Branches Under University Entry Scheme (UES)

Applications are invited from unmarried male and female candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Technical/Executive Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES), for course commencing July 2012.

Eligibility Conditions

• Age : 19 to 24 years (i.e. born between 02.07.1988 to 01.07.1993 (both dates inclusive)
• Qualification : Should be studying in a recognised university with one of the following disciplines with a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks till pre final year (upto VI semester): -
• Disciplines :
  Engineering Branch (Only Men) : Mechanical , Marine , Automotive , Mechatronics , Industrial & Production , Metallurgy , Aeronautical / Aerospace , Control and Production ,
  Electrical Branch (Men Only) : Electrical , Electronics , Tele Communications , Instrumentation , Instrumentation and Control , Electronics and Instrumentation , Electronics and Communication , Power Engineering , Control System Engineering , Power Electronics , Computer Science , Information Electronics , Computer Science , Information Technology , Avionic
  Nava Architecture (NA) Cadre (Men & Women) : Mechanical , Civil , Aeronautical/ Aero Space , Metallurgy ,Naval Architecture
  General Service(X) (Only Men) : Mechanical , Marine , Aeronautical / Aerospace , Production , Computer Science Engineering , Information Technology , Control , Electrical , Electronics , Telecommunication
• Physical Standards : (a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight. (b) Eye Sight. (i) Technical Branch. 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses. (ii) General Service (Executive). 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses. The candidates should not be colour/night blind.
